It is a special day in a woman's life when she get's married, and she
is right to spend time searching for perfection.
Getting married is extremely stressful with a mountain of things to
have to do and organize, however, a future bride must plan carefully so as to
make the choosing of her bridal gown an enjoyable experience.
You must allow ample time before the big day, at least six months.
There is a plethora of styles and designs to choose from and rushing is not an
option. You may want to have a bridal gown made especially for you, this in
itself can take up to six months and then there may be alterations to attend to.
Make a collage from images cut from bridal publications and printed
from the Internet. Take as many pictures as you can to bridal gown suppliers so
as give them an idea of your perfect gown.
The choice of your bridal gown comes down to a couple of considerations
such as, does your wedding have a theme or a particular formality, and the
location of the ceremony must be considered. If you are getting married on a
sun kissed beach in the Caribbean, for example, you wont want to be sporting a
traditional, and possibly hot and heavy bridal gown and train, in tropical
temperatures.
Your bridal gown needs to be to the floor with a train if your special
day is a formal evening event, gloves should be considered too. For a
semi-formal affair, daytime or evening then you should aim for an ankle length
bridal gown with a veil but no train. A day time wedding or maybe if its your
second marriage you could choose to wear a long or short gown, a veil should
not be necessary.
Another thing to take into consideration regarding your bridal gown
choice is your body type. Choose a gown that enhances your body's good points
but conceals the parts that you would rather not draw attention to. Below is a
list of some body enhancing solutions to choosing your bridal gown.
·Women that are tall and slim have no issues, you can wear what you
like.
·If your figure is more of the classic "hour glass" shape
then wear a detailed, V-neck bodice and a skirt that is A-line in design.
·Bottom heavy ladies or those with a pear-shaped figure should also
wear a bodice with perhaps some beading and embroidery detailing and an A-line
skirt.
·For women that are short and dainty choose a bridal gown that will
make your figure look fuller and an off the shoulder number with a flared
skirt, flaring from the thigh area.
Despite the necessity of taking your time to choose
your perfect bridal gown, if you know what dress you want and where to get it
then buy it. If you don't buy the bridal gown you fall in love with when you
see it ,someone else may beat you to it, anything else will be second best.
