May is just around the corner, as is the prom season. I remember
trudging around a plethora of shops with my mother when I was about seventeen
years old but invariably purchased my dress in the first shop we perused, I saw
no wrong in this and thought that is what every girl of my aged did when it was
prom season. Prom time is a stressful albeit exciting time for teenage girls
what with having to find a date, organizing a limousine, ordering flowers, and
all the other prom arrangements that have to be engineered.
During my senior year I must have tried on at least one hundred prom
dresses and oh how I felt like Cinderella going to the ball. Shopping for my
prom dress was the most enjoyable part of the whole experience although tiring
and frustrating for all involved.
It is most important that you start early in your quest to find the
perfect prom dress as I found to my cost when I left it a bit late searching
the shops for my first prom experience. There was hardly anything left in my
size, there were plenty of plus sizes and prom dresses that would fit a twelve
year old snuggly but for me nothing. At one point I thought I may have to buy a
plus size prom dress then have it altered to fit me, however, I did eventually
manage to find my size and it made me feel like a princess particularly as this
was my first prom and, in my view, it is the most important. So one piece of
solid advice for you, start shopping for that prom dress well in advance so you
can have the pick of the best.
